Dec. 19, 2007: My name is
Henry Croteau and I knew
Lee, his siblings and
parents, Tom & Mary when
they lived in Craryville years
ago and went to my Church,
St John in the Wilderness,
Copake Falls, NY. For quite
some time I would see him
around town here but didn't
realize who he was until
shortly before he left and
then we got together and
shared some moments. What
I wanted to share with you,
just in case someone else
has not, is how Lee helped a
friend that lived nearby where
Lee was camped out,
possibly saving his life. A
aging gentleman with some
arthritic problems and Lyme
disease was coming home
one evening and stumbled at
his door step falling
backward on blacktop and
injured himself to the point
where he could not get up.
He laid there for some time
struggling and using his
automotive horn/panic button
on his key chain blowing the
horn and blinking the lights
to no avail. Well, Lee heard
the commotion and walked
up to investigate and helped
the gentleman up and into
his house where he was able
to call for help. Had it not
been for Lee, I don't know
how long he might have been
there before anyone found
him. As a result parishioners
from our church were able to
assist him monetarily and
with oats and hay.
Jan. 26, 2008: It was great

Jan. 31, 2008: I was
lucky enough to meet lee
in Shippensburg, PA and
take these pics.
Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008: Chambersburg, PA: We
saw him coming down Main St, which is also
Route 11, heading south towards the square
where he had to stop for the light. I managed to
snap a picture of the front of the wagon before
the light changed & he started to make his way
through the square turning west onto Lincoln
Way, also called Route 30 & the Lincoln
Highway. Our area is somewhat used to driving
with horses & carriages on the roads, though
not usually in town so much anymore, so every
driver was patient while Lee made his way
through. My mother and I enjoyed the
friendly-faced dog sitting at the front looking
out at all the sights. Mom said the wagon
looked like the old ice wagons that used to
deliver ice when she was a girl.

Feb. 4, 2008: My husband and I saw Lee at the
American Legion in St. Thomas, PA on Monday,
May 4th and brought him some hay.  Then we saw
him on Tuesday morning in Ft. Louden, Pa and
brought him some breakfast and some more hay.
I really admire him and wish him good luck.  He
seems to be doing okay. I will check on his
progress often.

Feb. 23, 2008: My Wife the (manager) and her
Girls at Fantastic Sams in Latrobe Pa had the
pleasure of meeting Lee today. She seen this
article in the paper a few days ago and on her
way to work today she couldn't believe it, to her
surprise there was this covered wagon she had
seen in the paper just a few days before. She
said she left a note at the wagon asking Lee if he
needed a hair cut to come see them at Fantasic
Sams in the Mountain Laurel Plaza they'd be
thrilled to take care of him. Later on, all the
anticipation paid off.  Lee called and said he was
in a hurry but he wouldn't mind having a hair cut,
so my wife Vicki said great she'd come over and
pick him up and take him back. After his service
was completed of course they had to get a
picture or two before he left. Thank you,
Bill &
Vicki

sat for. We all wish you and your crew the very
best in your journey.

Feb. 26, 2008: I had heard about "The Man who
was living in a Horse Drawn Wagon" but never
thought we would ever see him. We met up with
Lee at Vincents Pizza Park on Route 30.  Here are
some pics of Lee when he was on Route 30
passing thru N. Huntingdon and Irwin, Pa.  The
folks at Vincents provided food for him and other
people were donating money. I had the pleasure
of talking to Lee for a little bit and took some
video.  I think a lot of people wished they could do
what he is doing. Good Luck Lee and Be Safe.
GOD BLESS!
