Comments: My friend Patty wasn't quite sure what she was seeing on the highway so she came by the house and got me and away we went to see
just what was going by Sheldon. WHAT A GIFT TO GET TO SEE LEE AND TO BRIEFLY TALK WITH HIM!! His team brought back very warm
memories of my young life in the late 40' and 50's--of my dad, uncle, and Grandma farming with Maude and Nig (our big horses)north of Sheldon,
of pumping water from the well outside the house, burning wood to keep warm, raising a big garden and canning to live through the winter, having a
kerosene refrigerator, dad putting a Briggs & Stratton motor on a washing machine so Mom didn't have to use the washboard anymore, of taking a
bath in a tub in front of the cook stove with Lifeboy soap (then in the summer sitting outside in the porch swing before time to go to bed.) Of the old
crank telephone on the party line--our number was 16F31 (three longs and one short) Of walking across town to school and not worrying about
somebody assaulting or murdering us. We were poor but as kids we didn't know it 'cause we were sooo rich with family and friends, with playing in
the sand box, jumping rope, riding bicycles, playing marbles. As an adult, I have had the privilege of being an nurse. Now, my husband and I are
whitling down our bills AGAIN so we can live life again. Several times over the past 33 years we have lived life then get caught up in the whole work
from paycheck to paycheck thing! LEE, KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON!!! We will be soon!

Comments: Some facts about the dog bite, 1) Hotel management asked him to stay away from my animals repeatedly 2) extreme amounts of
alcohol were involved (and it wasn't Kerr-mutt who was drinking) 3) If someone asks, I'll introduce them to the animals. 4) As was stated in the police
report, it was your fault. 5) Kerr-mutt and I have been obligated, even though he has been vacinated for rabies, to waste time, effort and money to

Comments: About any strange dog that has traveled with his owner for such a long duration. The dog will protect his domain. Only a dumba**
would get too close to anyone's property, dog or no dog. The person who obviously put his face where it didnt belong, got what you deserve. Lee
has his dogs, just like any other traveler would carry something else as protection. This person at a zoo would be a picnic to watch as they pet the
lions & tigers. oops, where did my hand go; beware children lions & tigers bite, keep all children away from zoos.
When we met Lee, we respected him & his traveling companions. We kept a safe and comfortable distance from all the animals; we dont know
them, they dont know us. Our own dog might bite a stranger looking where they shouldnt be looking. When Lee had his dogs outside of his wagon
they were tied up, they let us know plenty with their bark where the boundary was. Looks like you crossed the boundary dummy

Comments: Although I think what Lee is doing is very interesting, people should be aware that Kermit, the big dog bites. He caused us to spend 3
hours in the emergency room and ended up with 12 stitches in the lip and cheek. It could have been worse. I think Lee needs to post "beware of
dog" signs on his wagon to warn people. He also needs to stay away from schools where kids could easily encounter the same thing we did. I hate
to be a party pooper, but the dog will bite again and this time it may be a child.

updated; I would love to help Lee on his trip home if he passes through our area again. I was so disappointed when I found out what the story was
behind the team of horses going down the "interstate." I would have loved to stop to chat and offer my blessings of faith and food.

Comments: I saw a horse-drawn wagon going east towards Crescent on Easter
Sunday after coming back from lunch at K&H in Gilman. I was going to stop and
see if you needed a place to overnight your horses but someone was right
behind me so I couldn't stop. I see you are doing this with natural hoofs no
shodding. I didn't know horses could go that distance on pavement without
shodding. I have done some models of horse-drawn German beer wagons for
my model railroad. Draft horses, get it? ;-)
